Description

Orphaned at a very young age, Valian Styrke found himself in a realm far away from where he was born. Adopted and raised by the House Jhormynn, Valian was part of a world to which he never truly belonged. A world that tried to label him – a world that tried to change him.

But Valian kept to his heritage; he maintained his identity and most importantly, he kept to the dedication of courage and honor demonstrated in his parents’ final act… A dedication and loyalty which will be tested time and time again in his quest to become the man his parents meant him to be.

This book is honestly amazing! The cover art is gorgeous, but the writing inside is even better. The way that the author weaves so many of the character’s stories together, each with their own personalities and styles, as well as the vivid and compelling description of the environment around them, makes this a fascinating read.

I think I’m about to join The Tribe!

KOTIR combines Science-Fiction, Fantasy-Adventure, and just a bit of Young Adult fiction creating an amazng ride into Reiter’s introduction to the Rims.

I’m a little biased. The story is dedicated to soldiers, and Valian makes a great one. Dealing with everything from con-men to gods, he uses his incredible skills, his sense of duy, honor, and integrity to navigate the many obstacles he encounters… some from within his own family!

I especially like how the author touches upon the need for self-esteem as the lead character deals with being dealt a pretty lousy hand. but he plays it better than anyone would expect.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for 350 pages of excitement, action, suspense, and wonder!

Exceptional Book – A must read!
The story is very well written, it sucks you in and makes you feel you are part of the world. There is a depth and richness to the characters that most authors cannot achieve. The action is fast paced and keeps the story moving smoothly. I highly recommend it, once you start you will not want to put it down until you finish it.

Shaping up to be a great series!
I’ve read and re-read the first few books in this series and the short stories related to it, and I just can’t stop! This is an amazing, action-packed, richly developed world full of complicated characters! If you like action and drama and a sprinkling of levity at just the right spots, this is the series for you.
